The club holds its weekly summer pond sessions on Wednesday evenings at Musselburgh Lagoons between 7pm and 9pm (from the first Wednesday in May through to the last Wednesday in August inclusive).
These sessions are open to all abilities including complete beginners. Advance booking with allocated slots is now required in light of the COVID-19 situation. Sessions will be advertised on Facebook and sent out by email. Unfortunately we are unable to provide the club trailer as we used to but you can borrow kit from the shed as long as you can transport it.
These are NOT lifeguarded sessions and paddlers are responsible for their own safety. The duty coach is there to offer support and advice only and is not responsible for the safety of all on the water. It is also worth knowing that the park is a public shared space and there are no changing facilities or toilets.
We rely on a rota of volunteers to help with admin and coaching.
Please note children attending must be accompanied by at least one responsible adult. This can be a parent, guardian or named guardian for the day.
All new members must fill in a membership form on their first night.
If you think you may have any additional needs with regard to participating in pond sessions, it will be helpful if you can contact us to discuss your needs prior to attending your first pond session. Please email our Equality and Diversity Champion: firstname.lastname@example.org
Pond sessions are free except for a charge for the hire of equipment where applicable:
