Tweed Trip

Lovely day on the Makerstoun bit of the Tweed. Mostly stayed dry unlike the massed ranks of Newcastle Uni CC who entertained us over lunch with a fine display of swimming. Further lunchtime entertainment was provided by the Fire and Rescue Service who were practicing swift water rescues just below Makerstoun.

Thanks to Derek for doing shed duty even though not paddling, to the ghillie at Rutherford Boathouse for letting us use the track (and letting the ladies use the loo, but not the gents ‘cos they pee on the floor!) and everyone for making it a fun day!
